The site has a number of sections dedicated to a variety of mobile topics like MapPoint, Embedded and Games development as well as dedicated sections for both Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Smartphone development issues. The site provides a comprehensive list of information and links to help developers quickly find information on the important issues that will help them during the entire life cycle of development through to marketing of their mobile applications. Mobidogs.com complements VBDogs.com, a similar community effort that Visual Byte launched ten years ago and which has been a sucessful and respected resource for the VB developer community for the last decade. | |

Dwayne Lamb of Visual Byte was asked by Microsoft to present a session on "Application Design and UI Considerations for Mobile Devices" at the Canadian Mobile Developers Conference held at the Metro Convention Centre in Toronto. The session was well attended and seemed to inspire a wide variety of enthusiastic questions from the audience. Approximately 500 developers came out to attend the day-long Microsoft Developer event that also featured a keynote presentation by Mike Wehrs, a Director of Technology at Microsoft Corporation. | |

This week, Visual Byte became the first company to successfully submit and pass a Pocket PC application with the certification process managed by Handango who is a partner in the Microsoft Mobile2Market initiative. "Better Measure ” will soon be one of the first Pocket PC applications to carry the “Designed for Windows for Pocket PC Logo” announced by Microsoft in late April of this year.
